To Improve the understanding of the engineering principle of unit processes and the process design of water treatment systems
Objective
The main objective of this course is to enable the participants to understand the basic engineering principles of each unit process of a conventional water treatment plant and design basis for each unit process of a chemical assisted filtration. Enhanced clarification processes are also discussed. Some other water treatment processes, such as direct and pressure filtration, slow sand filtration, membrane filtration are also covered in the course. The course principle is to improve the knowledge of the participants in water treatment unit processes such that they would be able to gain understanding in process design of water treatment.
Who should attend?
Environmental or process design Engineers,
Water utility managers and water treatment operators, Civil Engineers, Chemical Engineers and Environmental Engineers of junior and intermediate levels, particularly those with interest in pursuing water treatment areas
